Sciatica - Symptoms, Diagnosis, and Treatment

Sciatica is the condition that defines the pain that occurs due to the irritation, inflammation, or compression of a nerve present in the lower back. The sciatic nerve branches from the lower back to each leg while passing through the hips and buttocks. This nerve is known to be the longest and thickest in the body. The term "sciatica" most commonly describes the pain that starts in the lower back and radiates down the leg. In this condition, mild to severe pain can occur anywhere along the sciatic nerve's path.

Most cases of sciatica are treated without any surgery, but in certain cases when the condition is critical or other methods don't work, surgery may be required. The Surgical Procedure is carried out without the use of orthopaedic implants & instruments.

What are the Causes of Sciatica?
