Our shoulder joint is formed by the humeral head (ball) and the glenoid cavity (socket) in the shoulder blade. Shoulder instability is a condition in which the humeral head slips out of its socket because of a traumatic event or any other health problem. It is a painful condition that restricts the movement of the affected shoulder. Depending on the cause and the type of instability, the condition could be mild or severe.
